The academy project is connected to a broad national and international network and cooperates with numerous other research projects and partners involved in archeological and historical research on the territory of former East Prussia.
The international advisory board accompanies and pursues on a long-term scientific work and its progress in the project. Its members from Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia represent the project in all its chronological and chorological aspects, and support its multilateral relations with relevant institutions and research organizations. On the basis of regular meetings the advisory board receives reports on the results and perspectives in the project. Its recommendations are submitted in writing to the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. The members of the advisory board exercise their mandate for a period of six years and are appointed by the chair of the project commission.
